What should be the size of the motor for my project?
Most motors have torque specifications either in newton/centimeters or inch/ounces. You must make sure to allow extra torque required to overcome friction, when you’re calculating the torque required for your next project.

What is stepper motor resonance?
Resonance is an unstable condition that generally occurs between 2-4 rev/sec. You can reduce it by either increasing your acceleration through the resonance zone, or putting load on the motor.

Why does my step motor turn hot?
It is their normal operating mode. When run at their rated current, it is normal for the step motors to be hot to touch when operating. Don’t stress over it.
